About the project
This project will integrate cultural values and environmental values to help build a clearer picture of biodiversity and health in the Lakes.
This project will:
- Take seasonal water samples from culturally significant and strategically important locations across the Gippsland Lakes Ramsar site.
- Send these samples to a science lab where tests will tell us what kind of animals have been in that water.
This will provide important information on the presence and distribution of animals species in critical habitats across the Gippsland Lakes Ramsar site.
