About this project
This project will restore two high priority wetlands on private property to improve riparian condition and increase connectivity and availability of freshwater habitat throughout the Mitchell (Wy Yung) River floodplain. Fencing, weed control and revegetation works will be delivered across the two wetlands located on private property.
East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority will lead the delivery of this project and work in partnership with Gunaikurnai Land and Water Aboriginal Corporation NRM Crew, contractors and landholders to undertake on ground works.
